Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the application provided to your association by App Community Suite. By using the application, you accept them.

1. What this service is

App Community Suite is a private application made available to an association for its internal life: news, events, conversations, gallery, shop and member management. It is not an open social network: your content is not public, except for what the association explicitly decides to publish on its website.

An association may open an event to people who are not members. Signing up for it creates no account and grants no rights: it is a sign-up for an outing, nothing more.

2. Entry is by invitation only

There is no open sign-up. Your account was created because your association invited you by email. A membership request made from the public website creates no account: it is submitted to the association, which decides.

The association decides who comes in and who goes out. We add and remove no member on our own initiative.

3. Your account

You choose your password and you are responsible for it. Do not share it. Tell your association if you believe your account has been compromised.

You undertake to give an accurate identity: in an association, other members must be able to know who they are talking to.

4. What you post

You remain the owner of what you post. You grant the association the right to show that content in the app and — only for what it chooses to make public — on its website.

You warrant that you have the right to post what you post: that applies to photos showing other people, who must agree to it.

5. What is not allowed

• Harassment, insults, threats, hateful or discriminatory speech.
• Illegal content, or content posted without holding the rights to it.
• Impersonating another member.
• Collecting other members' data for use outside the association.
• Any attempt to bypass access permissions or to disrupt the service.

The association's officers may delete content and suspend an account. They act according to their own rules, not ours.

Every member also has two actions that depend on no one: reporting content, which an officer will review, and blocking another member. A block takes effect immediately, applies to you alone, and the blocked person is not told.

6. Who does what

The association decides the content, the members, the rules of conduct and what is made public. It is responsible for what happens in its application.

App Community Suite provides the service, hosts the data and ensures technical security. The software is designed, developed and maintained by Wisepear (wisepear.eu), its subcontractor. We do not moderate content and do not arbitrate disputes between members — go to your association.

7. Availability

We run the service seriously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, a hosting failure or a network outage may make it temporarily unreachable.

Keep what matters to you. An important photo deserves to exist somewhere other than in a single application.

8. Ending access

You can delete your account yourself, from the app: Definições → Conta → Eliminar a conta. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and needs nobody's approval. If you no longer have the app, the procedure is on your association's website, on the Eliminar a conta page. The association may, for its part, end your access if you do not respect these terms or its own rules.

What you posted may remain visible after you leave — a message in a conversation, a photo in an association album. Ask the association to remove it if you wish.

9. Ownership

The software, its name and its design belong to the publisher of App Community Suite, identified on the Legal notice page. The association's name, logo and content belong to the association. Using the app grants you no right over either.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law for associations established in Portugal, and by the law of the association's country of establishment otherwise. Your consumer rights are not affected.
